Meet Turn The Page Online Marketing’s Senior Graphic Designer
With six undergraduate schools on her transcript and a nickname like “dfo” (now” dbo” since she’s recently married) Dana Bowman is Turn The Page‘s peppy, spirited Senior Graphic Designer/Front-End Programmer. As our first employee since way back in the way, Dana brings her expertise and cheerfulness to each Turn The Page client.
You may know her for her great website designs, but here’s a deeper look into Dana:
About Dana
Dana is a true Missouri girl (even though she lives in Kansas now.) She’s from Odessa and Independence, and comes from a HUGE family – and wouldn’t have it any other way!
She’s also a newlywed, married last August to Marcos!
If you want to make her day, let her listen to music all day and serve her anything with peanut butter.
Dana liked to play the field when it came to school – and we’re not just talking about soccer. If you ever need a recommendation on a Kansas City unversity – just ask her. She’s been enrolled in classes at NCCC – KS, Avila – MO, Webster – Geneva Switzerland, UCM – MO, MCCC – MO, and JCCC – KS.
While she’s got some deep roots in the web field, she actually entered the work force as a Counselor in Training (CIT) at First United Methodist Summer Camp.
Dana’s On All Things Online & Websites
Rather than telling you all of Dana’s wisdom (and some extras,) we thought we’d let her speak for herself as far as her thoughts on all things Internet.
Q. Where did you learn how to design and build websites?
I actually first learned HTML from Amy Driver and learned CSS from the first “big kid” job I had at River City Studio. They hired me with exceptionally minimal knowledge in building and taught me most of everything I know. We didn’t do much web design in school so I started there with my web design also.
Q. What was your first email address?
socrdfndr13@hotmail.com – “Soccer Defender” is what it’s short for
Q. Mac or PC?
Are PC’s still alive?
Q. Why do you work in the field of social media or web design?
I get paid to be creative! Who wouldn’t want that?!
Q. Favorite websites?
pinterest.com, womensprosoccer.com
Q. Blog reader or book reader?
A little bit of both
Q. What’s the first thing you look for on a website?
Quick and direct access to the information I’m looking for.
Q. What’s one thing you love about one of our clients?
Aspire, their patience and teamwork while we were revising the site before launching. Perfect!
Q. What’s the one thing every business owner needs to know about social media?
It’s a necessity if you want your business to flourish and you don’t have to wait days for your marketing to get through the mail.
